MICHAEL BACA

New mexico environmental department


Mr. Michael Baca is an Environmental Analyst with the Control Strategies Section of the New Mexico Environment Department's Air Quality Bureau. His job duties include development of New Mexico’s State Implementation Plan to include adopting air quality regulations and plans, serving as New Mexico’s air quality intergovernmental border liaison to Texas and Mexico, preparing and submitting Exceptional Events Demonstrations to the U.S. EPA, and providing outreach and education throughout the state. Mr. Baca has twelve years of experience in the environmental field, including nine years in air quality. Mr. Baca holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota.
