LORINDA GARDNER
TEXAS COMMISSION ON ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITYMs. Lorinda Gardner holds a B.S. in biology from Texas Wesleyan College. She served in the U.S. Army from 1988-1996 as a member of the Chemical Corps. She then joined the TCEQ (formerly the TNRCC) as a Solid Waste investigator in the Harlingen Region. She left the agency after two years to become a Business/Project Manager for Boots & Coots Special Service in hazardous materials response. She returned to the TCEQ in 1999 and served as a Small Business and Local Government Assistance representative, Air and Waste Section Manager, and Regional Director for the Harlingen and Laredo Regions. Ms. Gardner currently serves as the El Paso and Midland Regional Director. The two regions include 25 air, water, and waste investigators; 6 administrative staff; and 2 section managers. The El Paso Region also houses 2 continuous air monitoring (CAMS) technicians who maintain 5 CAMS stations in the El Paso area.
