The Joint Advisory Committee on the Improvement of Air Quality is pleased to announce the opening of the selection process for a vacancy in the U.S. Committee Member position of Business Representative. This is an opportunity for qualified individuals to contribute their expertise and perspective to air quality matters in the Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua / El Paso, Texas / Doña Ana County, New Mexico Air Basin.

The Committee is issuing this formal convocation and 60-day advance notice prior to the due date for applications. This notice is being broadly published throughout the Air Basin, using the JAC/CCC mailing list to ensure wide visibility and participation.

Interested nominees for the U.S. Business Representative position are invited to submit applications containing the following information, limited to one page:

a) Name, mailing address, telephone email

b) A brief description of the nominee’s interest, background, and experience in air quality matters in the Air Basin

c) A brief description of the positive role the nominee can play on the Committee

d) A letter of support from their organization. This letter is not part of the one-page personal information outlined in items a through c.

Interested applicants should submit their application by May 3, 2026.

Selection of the member shall be determined by the U.S. members of the Committee, with an emphasis on relevant experience, commitment to air quality improvement, and the ability to contribute constructively to the Committee’s objectives. The applicant must reside within the air basin.
