CITY OF EL PASO, TEXAS
Mr. Karl Rimkus has been employed by the City of El Paso Environmental Services Department since 2009 and currently serves as the City’s Air Quality Program Manager. Prior to that, he worked as an air and waste environmental investigator with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality for eight years. He holds a B.S. degree in Geology and a Master’s degree in Education from the University of Texas at El Paso and has taught geology and meteorology courses at El Paso Community College and Wayland Baptist University since 2001 and 2015, respectively. Mr. Rimkus also serves as Chairman of the El Paso City Employees’ Pension Fund, Chairman of Texas Senator Jose Rodriguez’ Environmental Advisory Committee, and is a member of the Tire Advisory Committee of the Rio Grande Council of Governments.
