Armando Paz

New mexico environmental department


​Armando Paz is an Environmental Analyst with the Control Strategies Section of the New Mexico Environment Department Air Quality Bureau who has been proudly serving the citizens of southern New Mexico for the past fifteen years after obtaining his bachelor’s degree in Environmental and Occupational Health from New Mexico State University.  Mr. Paz is a native New Mexican who was raised in Las Cruces with a passion for serving underserved communities to educate and promote environmental health awareness.  His current job duties include development of the State Implementation Plan including adopting air regulations and preparing and submitting Exceptional Events Demonstration to the U.S. EPA as part of the Doña Ana and Luna County Dust Mitigation Plan.
